Steve Blais – Webinar Series
In these days of economic uncertainty, the project manager is called upon to perform business analyst duties and define the requirements or moderate stakeholders meetings, especially on “small” projects. And there are just as many times when the business analysts, having defined the problem and gotten the business case or project charter approved finds themselves handed the management of the project.
When belts get tightened and roles doubled up, management may decide to save money by having a single person handle both roles. While experience has shown that a business analyst/project manager role is not recommended for high-quality results, the arrangement can still work. First, you have to know what each of the roles is responsible for and then how to separate the performance of those roles. This webinar presents a number of tricks and techniques culled from those who have had to play both roles that may help you be a “slash”: a project manager/business analyst.
